Building our resilience

Resilience is something you “do” rather than something you “have””

Take a moment to consider this sentence – we know that when we share this sentence in our workshops it can be a bit of a lightbulb moment for some – that thought that we can potentially build our own resilience rather than just ‘be’ or ’not be’ resilient.

This is the viewpoint of Dr Chris Johnstone who we did our resilience practitioner training with and it is certainly thinking that resonates with us.

We know for many that resilience is an important topic, so in this newsletter we want to share some helpful resources and we invite you to take some time to think about what you can do to build your own resilience – what’s the ‘stuff’ that works for you ….. maybe set aside some time to read, reflect and work through some of the techniques we are sharing here.

We hope you find this newsletter helpful and it raises your own awareness about what you can do to build your own resilience and how you are already resilient and that it enables you to reconnect with the things you do consciously or unconsciously that are helpful for you when needing to be resilient.

We would love to know how you get on and what works for you.
Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions or if you would like to know more about our work.

Best wishes

Emma & Jenny

“Working with Women to Work has been transformational. Their personalised approach means that I’ve been able to tailor sessions to whatever topic is most relevant to me at that time. From large strategic challenges to more personal development they have without exception added value. I can’t recommend highly enough”
