What do you dream of?

Hello and welcome to our latest newsletter … today we are talking about dreams, plans, visions and goals….and the importance of knowing ourselves and our individual needs and wants.

We’re also sharing some reflection questions that fit with today’s theme and encourage you to take a moment for yourself to focus on you.

Finally, we’ll share a reminder of our upcoming free Work Life Discovery Coaching Workshops and some one to one coaching inspiration.

Enjoy and we hope to see some of you soon.

How’s your Autumn so far?

Do you see this time as a fresh start, perhaps you had that ‘back to school’ feeling and maybe you are ready for something new?

This time of year can often feel like a whole new start, and I (Emma) have often found myself creating so many goals and plans that I end up overwhelmed and exhausted by the middle of September – perhaps you’ve experienced this too?

It can be helpful and exciting to plan…and to have a vision…and to dream…but it’s important to think about the practical side too – asking yourself what are the goals that fit with my overall vision and dreams, and what small actions and steps can I put in place to start to move forward?

We love this quote from John Bytheway:

“Inch by inch, life’s a cinch. Yard by yard, life’s hard.”

So, taking time to break those goals into small, actionable steps creates a positive momentum and makes reaching the final goal, vision or dream so much easier, and much less overwhelming and exhausting!

Another quote we love is from Michelle Obama:

“One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals”

But how do we stay true to ourselves?

Many of us have very busy lives…work, family, caring responsibilities, homes and more, and may spend a lot of our time doing things for other people that leaves no time to pause and think about our own needs and wants.

Maybe what we wanted when we were younger may not be what we want now, maybe we feel differently about work and life since we changed career, moved location, had a baby, faced a health issue or life event or simply because we change over time.

We may find ourselves making decisions for our own lives that are based on others’ expectations or outdated expectations of ourselves, or because we think we should – not really questioning what really matters to us – what are our own individual needs and wants?

If we can be clear about our own individual needs and wants it allows us to make decisions that are right for us, and our dreams, aspirations, plans and goals can all align.

So why not take that pause now and reflect on the questions below.

Or perhaps one to one coaching is of interest? Coaching offers a valuable space to pause, reflect, and make sense of everything that’s going on. It provides a steady, neutral support and a place to explore.

It can help individuals to create a life that allows them to be fulfilled happy people who are achieving their professional and personal potential, and it can support them to feel empowered, positive, and happy with their work and lives.

If you’d like to see if one to one coaching can work for you, just get in touch and we can set up a free 15 minute call.

We wish you all the best.
